Hello and welcome to my family history website.Although I have called it the 
Elkes Family tree it contains many other lines including my wife's line. I 
have been busy in the last 18 months trawling through the census records and 
bothering relatives who have never even heard of me before and probably now 
wish they never had.
I would first of all like to thank all of the relatives who have contributed 
to my research because without them I would have no branches to hang my leaves 
on.

I have found out many interesting stories and facts along the way including 
being related to a Derby County FA cup winner and being a descendant of the 
Elkes biscuit empire at Uttoxeter but unfortunately none of the money came our 
way but I suppose thats the way the cookie crumbles.....
